I go by the name DJ special edition.. i started with vinyl and still play them to this day with CDs an Usb.. ive been DJing for over 30 years, music was always something i wanted to get too, i started playing reggae and soul, rare grooves from a early age at friends and familys parties, i then started liking the house and oldskool hardcore jungle. i then got into the club circuit and got a few bookings back in 92 93 94,
I then got into house music and uk house & garage. my style playing on pirate radio from 95-96-97-98-99-2000 2001… oldskool house and garage was taking me places playing alongside big names.. I then started playing at clubs and bars a lot around london. good music has always passed my way and still today im getting good grooves to play. ive played at 100s of clubs and bars in london/outside also a few bars worldwide,too many places to mention…
I was Resident for yacht club in embankment london and was resident to a lot of clubs in london – (mi casa es su casa – interlace parties) dogstar bar brixton, white house clapham, ministry of sound ..events for dave courtney plus many more making a name for myself… underground soulful house, afro, deep house is what i like and play .. ive had live saxophonist and top london bongo man flex on my set.. i also did a couple of parties at rockstar games… (Neighbourhood west London) (club Aquarium old street) ( Resident at nomad club old street)
Playing on a lot of pirate radio around London it was getting to risky so i decided to start my own radio station ( Ambition Radio) which was born in 2001-2 this gave me the opportunity to make my dreams come true, my station has been involved with a lot of parties also i was invited to parliament for the Windrush generation that was on London Tv, i then took ambition radio to another level getting involved with big events recording and broadcasting there parties ( roast events) and many more… over the years ive made a few tracks which a couple is on vinyl, i was interviewed in a magazine in LA called TUR back in 2017 being put on the front cover… also interviewed on Doin*it productions tv
I got my station on big platforms Dab radio in Ireland I then moved on to bigger things Freeview Tv Channel 277 which is going strong, ambition radio has open a lot of doors for me and for DJs past and present still going strong, my next project is to do festivals and events abroad taking the station in places to go viral, i work hard and make things happen to why ambition radio is big name and intend to get bigger…
ive also interviewed big names on the scene – house music ( Ralf Gum ) reggae music ( Sanchez D ) indie music ( jhenni in glasgow) Afro house (WitDJ in south Africa ) with more happening soon…
